The Role:

All DMG marketers should be excellent communicators, proactive problem solvers and action-oriented team players. They must demonstrate commitment to producing high quality work in a fast-paced environment, working to tight deadlines.  They should have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude and able to build strong working relationships within the Marketing & Communications team to achieve outstanding results together. They should also take personal responsibility to grow their understanding of our business, our markets, and our business environment and shape their marketing efforts to influence the success of marketing programs to drive the right business outcomes.

As a Digital and Social Media Marketing Manager, you will:

  • Strategic thinking: responsible for all strategic online initiatives for DarkMatter from ideation to execution.
  • A passion for all things digital: the ability to understand all available media channels, opportunities and the agility to stay ahead of the curve and leverage the relevant channels for our business and brands and to know what works.
  • An analytical mindset: understand and implement analytics and insights to drive outcomes and to optimize future campaigns. Leverage tools to provide actionable metrics to prove the value of activity with real data.
  • Be a creative thinker and story-teller: work with our creative department and copywriter to develop outstanding copy and visuals that tell the DarkMatter story consistently and to the highest standards.
  • Use your design skills to work with the team to refresh our website design to reflect our evolving business strategy and the DarkMatter brand story.
  • Develop website traffic plan, creating objectives and benchmarks.
  • Optimize website and social media channels for SEO.
  • Understand the changing social media landscape and develop a social media marketing strategy, (including paid social media advertising), with the analytics and insights to create audiences.
  • Develop email marketing strategy and platform.
  • Leverage industry events and manage digital and social media marketing for key events including HITB+
  • Develop creative / digital agency briefs for key programs of work and manage briefings, RFPs, pitches.
  • Manage agencies to agreed scope of work, within budget and to deadlines.
  • Skillfully build relationships within the team (Media Relations, Creative Department, Pipeline Marketing, Events, Communications), within the company business units and outside of the company to deliver outstanding results.
  • Presenting marketing & communications plans to senior management, sales and marketing teams
  • Monitor, report and review digital and social media marketing effectiveness

 

To bring your dream to life, you’ll need:

  • Strong understanding of social media and website metrics and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Proven experience in email marketing, lead generation and SEO.
  • Knowledge of HTML and CMS systems.
  • Strong communications skills to advocate for brand.
  • Strong influencing skills to work across the company with key business practices and functions.
  • Collaborative and able to work closely with the marketing & communications team and others to ensure a cohesive, coordinated and integrated approach to marketing campaigns.
  • Good understanding of paid, owned and earned channels and ability to maximize marketing campaigns.
  • Strategic approach to planning campaigns with clear objectives and outcomes.
  • Superior writing and presentation skills.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field; or equivalent industry experience in B2B digital marketing.
